Hoppin Hot Sauce

Hoppin Hot Sauce is the brainchild of John Hoppin, Bay Area artist, food lover, and sauce maker. With a distinctive blend of spices, California-grown garlic, summer-ripened chipotle meco & puya chiles and Meyer lemons, Hoppin Hot Sauce is not your run-of-the-mill condiment. John has multiple sclerosis which makes it difficult to work in a kitchen, but he doesn't let it stop from cooking. After years of experimenting and tweaking his homemade recipe, John created Hoppin Hot Sauce to share his love of hot sauce with food lovers everywhere.

ALTR was tasked with creating an identity that would channel iconic punk art, specifically Raymond Pettibon's Black Flag logo. In response, ALTR crafted a playful, hand-drawn identity system that showcases the curated ingredients and of this unique sauce.
